Matthew has been serving as a volunteer on cataract outreaches in Ghana since 2018.  Over this period Matthew has developed tools and protocols for efficient collection and analysis of surgical data.  He has also contributed to the development of protocols to enhance patient safety and improve outcomes in the cataract outreach setting.

Matthew also assists with coordinating travel logistics for Daybreak Vision Project outreaches.  Professionally, Matt works as an operating room technician serving patients at Medical Eye Center in Medford, Oregon.  Matt enjoys exploring the coasts and mountains of his beautiful home state, but finds his greatest joy helping to restore sight to the people of Ghana.
